BASKETBALL IN THE MOVIES!!!!!! THE BASKET, WITH PETER COYOTE
Hello, fans!!!! It’s time for another installment of BASKETBALL IN THE MOVIES where we discuss movies that have basketball in them!!!
The movie this time is THE BASKET, with PETER COYOTE and KAREN ALLEN. Everyone knows who Peter Coyote is! Karen Allen is that lady from RAIDERS OF THE LOST ARK which is a great movie, even though it doesn’t have any basketball in it!!!
Anyway, THE BASKET is from 1999 and I am just watching it now and even though I’ve only seen about 20 minutes of it so far I am not going to recommend it to you, HAPPY HOOPS FANS because I have seen hardly any basketballs!!!
This has been an installment of BASKETBALL IN THE MOVIES by HAPPY HOOPS for the fans!!!

THE LATEST FROM JOSEPH ESTLACK: HAPPY HOOPS’ INTERNATIONAL BASKETBALL FILM CORRESPONDENT!!!!
BASKETBALL IN THE MOVIES, a column by Joe Estlack:
My Blue Valentine is a work of art just like basketball when it is played by people who love the sport. When you watch the film staring Ryan Gosling and Michelle Williams, you can really tell they love making movies. Can anyone deny Michael Jordan’s love for slamming dunks or Lebron Jame’s passion when he’s dribbling a ball? No. Ryan Gosling plays a real good guy and a great father. Michelle Williams becomes a nurse and they try to work things out. If you play close attention, there’s a basketball in one scene. It’s just sitting in a corner. What is the director trying to tell us? Was this basketball discarded by the couple after a night out of playing hoops before they fell passionately into each others arms? We’re left only to wonder what part basketball played in their lives.
